Coronado Theater
Rockford, Illinois
The Coronado Theater project was the historic renovation of a derelict, atmospheric theater from the vaudeville era, into functional multi-use venue, for use by various community groups, touring performers & productions, and to serve as a primary home for the Rockford Symphony Orchestra. Acoustically, primary design components included a custom concert enclosure, deep under-balcony shaping and detailing, and the design of an orchestra rehearsal room, off-stage, left in an adjacent two-story storefront building annexed by the renovation project.
